TOOTH FAIRY

Those who know Macie, know that she does not have any teeth in the front! Her two front top teeth were pulled when she was just about 18 months old, and she has now hit the age where she is starting to lose teeth (therefore, not having teeth on the bottom). She also inherited Eric's horrible enamel on her teeth. So today she had a dentist appointment to fill some cavities. All day she was really nervous for two reasons. One, she was afraid it was going to hurt (typical kid stuff right?) Second, she has a loose tooth and she didn't want them to touch it or pull it out! So I kept reassuring her that everything was going to be fine. Of course, I didn't tell her that it probably was going to hurt and they were actually going to try to expand her upper jaw today (with a little minor cutting and stitching- I know telling her would make her FREAK).  Everything was going great at the dentist, and she even asked me not to come back with her because she was big enough to do it alone! After almost two hours, the dentist called me back to talk. They had finished the cavities and sealings on one side and had run out of time, so they weren't going to be able to get the upper jaw expansion done today. I was SO relieved! Just as I was settling into my state of calm, he said "Oh by the way, this tooth in the front is dead and I think I am just going to pull it right now."
All I could think of was that she was not going to have ANY teeth in the front! All three teeth in a row would be missing, plus her bottom teeth were gone. Oh my poor Macie. Here she was worried that they might pull out her already loose tooth, and then they ended up pulling a different tooth.  The dentist gave her a couple of shots (she didn't even flinch), and then proceeded to pull out her tooth. I almost started crying because I know how sensitive she is about her toothless smile, even though it is all she has ever known! As we drove home she was a little sad and told me that know she really didn't want to smile until her teeth grew back. We talked on the ride home about how all the kids would be jealous because she didn't have to wiggle her teeth out (that is something she really hates).
When we got home she showed her tooth to some of her friends from school and that seemed to make her feel better. As it was getting near bedtime, I found Macie in my bed writing something. This is the note that I found her writing. Macie really wants the tooth fairy to leave her some money, but she is not ready to part with her teeth quite yet. I just loved it so much that I wanted to share it. Macie is an amazing kid! She is kind, helpful, patient, loving, obedient, and many more things.  Time is flying by too fast. It seems like just yesterday I was watching her take her first steps and now she is already in Kindergarten! I just wish I could freeze time, even just for a little while.

Beach Pictures

So I LOVE taking pictures! Last time I was at the beach I took some random pictures of my sister and her family. Just a little something about me and something I like to do. I am definitely not good but want to gain knowledge to make my kids pictures the best! Aren't my nieces the cutest?

LOOK WHO'S 1!!!

My sweet little baby turned 1 today! Sadie is one of the happiest and easiest babies! She loves her brother and sister very much and is always ready to smile at the camera. It is hard to believe that it was one year ago that I was in the hospital trying to decide what to name the new baby! We had a fun day at Jump On It and later eating cake. It was great to have the cousins over and get to visit with Karen and her kids over the holidays. I know there haven't been a lot of blog posts lately, but there hasn't been a lot of time. Slowly I will post some pictures from Christmas and the holidays. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and Happy New Year. My year has been great and very crazy with three kids, but I wouldn't change anything. Oddly, three kids seems easier than two most of the time. Go figure. I have three of the best kids in the world! Happy Birthday Sadie! I love you very much and can't imagine a day without your smile and your hugs!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Macie and Mckay are ready for school!
Mckay was excited about all the fun stuff his preschool teacher gave him!
Macie was so excited to ride the bus!
It was funny to watch all the kids just stand on the bus and not know what to do, finally Macie sat down!

Mckay loves that cougar!

Macie sitting at her table. She was ready to start!
Of course, Macie invited her friends to come over after school (I think they all planned it on their bus ride home). That is so Macie to keep the party going! It's fun to have school started again!

SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER

This summer has been a crazy vacation filled few months. The best part of the entire summer was that my sisters Kim and Kristen and my brother Rob and all of their families were able to come on the trips. They all live so far away (Florida, San Diego, and Missouri) and we rarely get to see them. First we went to Lake Powell. It was fun, sunny, and crowded! There's nothing like 14 kids all sleeping together in one small family room on a houseboat. Then everyone came to grandma and grandpa's house for a week before we were off to Montana. Montana is always a great trip, staying at the lake, feeding the ducks, fly fishing, river rafting, spa days, swimming, flying model airplanes, panning for gold and sapphires, and doing everything else you can think of.  Most of all we got to spend so much time together. It was fun to have Kim's kids there because Mckay absolutely LOVES his cousins (especially Tate) and Macie thinks the world of Rachael and Abby. Rachael is all grown up now (15!!!) and she is the greatest teenager ever! She never complained, even though she was bored half the time being the oldest kid there, and she was always willing to help. She is darling and creative and smart. Braeden on this trip was a total gem! He helped out and loved up Sadie a ton! Tate was hilarious on this trip- very dramatic. Everything with Tate included a lot of crying and drama, we love him, such a character. Maverik is one of a kind with such a sweet heart. Macie and him were attached at the hip. Last but not least Abby- cutest, best dressed, most "googled" sister in the world. Here is such some pictures from our trips and the other days of summer. Can't believe that school is about to start and it already is the middle of August! Time has flown by since Sadie was born (she is already 7 months old). I really need to slow down and soak it all in and enjoy every moment of my children's lives! I am truly blessed in my life.
